“THE Tether” is a new wireless Nikon tethering app built by a Photographer

A reader contacted me for his new wireless Nikon tethering app:

I’m a fashion photographer from Korea, and I recently released an iPad/iPhone app called THE Tether. I built it because cable tethering often gets in the way during real shoots, especially outdoors, in studios, or when clients need to review images on set.

THE Tether is a wireless tethering and review app for Nikon photographers. It works over a 5GHz Wi-Fi router or directly via the camera’s Wi-Fi, and is designed for fast JPG review during shooting while maintaining a full RAW workflow afterward.

Key features:

• Wireless Nikon tethering to iPad/iPhone
• Fast JPG review during shooting
• JPG Only / JPG + RAW / JPG + Rated RAW modes
• RAW matching later from memory cards
• Star rating and selected JPG/RAW export
• External SSD support
• Fullscreen client review mode
• Pinch zoom, swipe navigation, histogram, and EXIF overlay

Tested cameras include Z9, Z8, Zf, Z6III, Z7II, Z6II, Z7, Z6, Z5II, Z5, Z50II, Z50, Zfc, and D780. Here is a demo:
