New firmware updates for Nikon D5 and D6 cameras released


Nikon released new firmware updates for the D5 and D6 DSLR cameras:

Nikon D6 firmware update version 1.50:

  • A [USB] item has been added to the setup menu. For more information, see the Supplementary Firmware Update Manual.
  • When assigned to a control using Custom Setting f3 [Custom controls] in the [CUSTOM SETTING MENU], [Recall shooting functions] can now be used while the camera is connected via USB to a device running an app such as NX Tether or NX MobileAir.

Nikon D5 firmware update version 1.50:

  • When assigned to a control using Custom Setting f1 [Custom control assignment] in the [CUSTOM SETTING MENU], [Recall shooting functions] can now be used while the camera is connected via USB to a device running an app such as NX MobileAir.
