Nikon D780 firmware update version 1.03 released

Nikon continues to release firmware updates for older cameras – today we have a new firmware version 1.03 for the Nikon D780 DSLR camera (out of stock at most retailers: Adorama, Amazon, and B&H). Here are the changes:

Fixed an issue that resulted in live view being over- or under-exposed when the exposure was in fact correctly adjusted; this would occur during live view when a non-CPU lenses was mounted on the camera with:

  • On selected for Custom Setting d9 (Exposure preview (LV)),
  • the mode dial rotated to M (manual), and
  • aperture adjusted so that the exposure indicator showed optimal exposure at values other than f/5.6.

The firmware can be downloaded here.
