Capture One for Nikon is now discontinued

Today Capture One announced that their Nikon-specific version is already discontinued (you can still purchase the latest version 22 from B&H Photo). The full Capture One 22 flagship product is $100 more expensive than the Nikon-branded version.

If you already have a perpetual license for version 22 of Capture One for Nikon, you’ll get a free upgrade to the full version of Capture One Pro in early April 2022 (source).

Unless I am missing something in the fine print, I think it makes sense to purchase Capture One 22 for Nikon today from B&H for $199 and then get a free upgrade to the full $299 version in April.

Update: over a week after my post Capture One contacted me to inform me “that purchases through a reseller after 18.01.22 are not eligible for a free upgrade.”
