Nikon Z5 full spectrum camera for astronomy, UV and IR photography announced

Primalucelab announced a new Nikon Z5 full spectrum camera for astronomy, UV, and IR photography. The camera is based on the Nikon Z5 and can capture astronomical, infrared, ultra-violet, and traditional photography all with one camera:

The Nikon Z5 Full Spectrum mirrorless camera allows you to capture astronomical, infrared, ultra-violet, and traditional photography all with one camera! This camera is based on Nikon Z5 model but the standard internal filter is replaced by with a clear filter that is transparent to visible, UV and IR light! This allows the Nikon Z5 Full Spectrum mirrorless camera to have a higher sensitivity in red part of visible spectrum, where the important H-alpha line lies, allowing you to capture weaker details of deep sky objects. This sensitivity extends to the IR and UV parts of the spectrum and the autofocus sensor has been recalibrated after filter change so the autofocus behaves the same as a standard camera and allows you to make UV and IR photography in a very simple way! 4 YEARS OFFICIAL WARRANTY (Nikon Italy)

Here are a few sample photos taken with the Nikon Z5 full spectrum camera:

IR image recorded with Nikon Z5 Full Spectrum camera and IR-pass filter in front of the photo lens.

By adding IR-pass filter in front a photo lens with the Nikon Z5 Full Spectrum camera, you can record great IR images. This comparison shows the same image recorded with the Nikon Z5 Full Spectrum camera (left) and with a standard Z5 camera (right).

By using different band pass filter with the Full Spectrum camera, you can record different pictures in UV, visible and IR light.

Nikon Z5 Full Spectrum for astronomy, UV and IR photography

Pordenone (ITALY) October 15th 2020

By following the release of the Nikon Z5 mirrorless camera, PrimaLuceLab announce availability of the Nikon Z5 Full Spectrum, the special version that allows to capture astronomical, infrared, ultra-violet, and traditional photography all with one camera!

By using a special clear filter that replaces the standard one and thanks to the autofocus calibration after filter modification, the Nikon Z5 Full Spectrum mirrorless camera offers the solution for people searching for higher sensitivity in H-alpha line (very important to better capture nebulas) for astrophotography and UV/IR sensitivity for different scientific applications.

Nikon Z5 Full Spectrum mirrorless camera takes advantage of great performances of the Nikon Z5 big FullFrame sensor (24x36mm), large pixels (6 microns), and sensor position only at 16mm from the new Nikon Z bayonet. This way photographers, also without specific skills, are not able to record great pictures for astronomy, UV and IR photography, all with the same camera (optional filters may be needed to select the requested band).
