Nikon announced the development of new webcam software (beta version coming in early August)

New Delhi: 21st July 2020 – Nikon India Pvt. Ltd. 100% subsidiary of Nikon Corporation Tokyo, is in plans to release the beta version of Webcam Utility*, a software that allows a Nikon mirrorless or D-SLR camera to be used as a high-quality option of a webcam in early August 2020.

In response to the demand for high-quality video conferences as online meetings have become increasingly common, Webcam Utility has been developed to enable users to use their existing Nikon mirrorless or DSLR camera as a webcam.

By simply installing the Webcam Utility software, currently compatible with the Windows OS, to a computer* and connecting the compatible Nikon mirrorless or DSLR camera to the computer via a USB cable, users can enjoy the superior image quality of their Nikon camera for online meetings. In addition, with the vast range of available NIKKOR lenses, users will also have the flexibility in choosing their preferred image angle and be benefited by the lenses’ beautiful bokeh and renowned sharpness.

•    Z 7, Z 6, Z 5, Z 50, D6, D850, D780, D500, D7500, D5600
•    Future Nikon mirrorless and digital SLR cameras are also scheduled to be compatible with this new software
