Notice about compatibility for Nikon D6 with Sigma lenses

After Tamron, Sigma also issued a notice about using Sigma lenses with the new Nikon D6 camera:

Thank you for purchasing and using our products.

We have found that some SIGMA interchangeable lenses for Nikon are not fully compatible with the Nikon D6 released on June 5th.
When certain lenses are attached to this camera the following phenomena will occur.

Products concerned:

  • It takes time to start even if the camera power is turned on
  • Autofocus does not work

We are currently investigating further into this issue and will inform you as soon as a solution is developed. (via Sigma)
