Fixed image quality issue (noisy result) when applying spot healing to floating-point (HDR) images

Fixed issue with reading lossless compressed Nikon raw files (NEF files) from the camera models listed below. Previously, some images could be read but would appear as random noise, whereas attempting to open others would result in an error dialog. You will need to purge your Camera Raw cache via the Camera Raw Preferences dialog.

    • Interesting – I will mention this on Thanks!

  • Nope!

Will buy adobe when they sell non-subscription software….

Currently, its a permanent mortgage without a house in the end

    • El Aura

Which they still do in the form of CS6 and LR5.

      • truthmonger

Nope. I can continue to run CS6 for years until I DECIDE to upgrade, as I did with CS3.

  • decisivemoment

Damn, they’re pushing these out faster than they did. However, subscription no-no. Looks like I’m going to have to use Photo Ninja as an Aperture plugin to get lens profile corrections without Lightroom . . .

  • AM I Am

Darn! Still no support for the spanking brand new 400mm f/2.8E FL and TC-14E III.

    • d800e_shooter

Can you buy one already? In the US the TC-14E III would not be released until August!

      • Neopulse

Think he was being sarcastic lol

  • John_Skinner

Release candidates.. Just call it a beta. Why bother an install till it’s ready? Who’s in that kind of hurry

    • Nikonguy

If you had a V3 and wanted to open the raw file then you’d install RC8.5!!

    • “Release candidate” means that it’s already been beta tested and this could be the one to release, if all goes well.

  • Danonino

Jay, hope they fix the D600 rawfile problem in ACR 8.5 as the files are impossible to edit. Theres just to freaking much contrast! Cant get a smooth image out of it!

  • Has anyone tried this with the D4s files? I have been converting the files to DNG to work on them, but I would rather be able to skip that step and just work on the NEFs. I have the latest OS for MAC powerbook so this should be fine, right?
