Nikon Coolpix P7700 firmware update 1.1 released

Nikon released firmware update 1.1 for the Nikon Coolpix P7700 compact camera. The improvements in this version are:

  • Display accuracy for the virtual horizon has been increased according to the direction in which the camera is pointed.
  • The interval between shots with uninterrupted shooting when Auto bracketing is set to Exposure bracketing has been reduced.
  • An issue that prevented shutter speeds slower than one second for the second and subsequent shots when shooting with Auto bracketing set to Exposure bracketing has been resolved.

Ugh, was hoping there would be a fix for Eye-Fi compatibility. Or assigning the protect key to one of the function buttons.

    • Never had a problem with Eye-Fi

You’re lucky. Not everytime but most times when the camera has been off for a period I have to turn it on, then off, then on again for it to recognize the Eye-Fi card. Known issue, it’s actually why Eye-Fi took the P7700 off their compatibility list.

BUT when it does work…. man I love it. Just wish there was a way to protect a picture easily instead of have to go into menus. Would make selective uploading soooo much faster.

        • Yep ^ Same thing here. Wish they would pull head out of rear! How long has this been out??

Now they just need to release a firmware update for the price…
