I wonder whether and when Apple is releasing an updated Aperture; so far lightroom is way better.

      I painfully agree.. 🙁

I was a big fan of Aperture because of its great management features and much more pleasing layout/methodology. I was eagerly awaiting for Aperture 3 but when it came out, it was still behind Lightroom in terms of refined editing tools. Lightroom’s noise reduction and sharpening in particular are pretty way ahead. Not to mention the built in lens correction. So I switched even though I prefer Aperture’s DAM features more than Lightroom’s modules.

I wish DXO incorporated D800 raws.
