Another Nikon “The Event” in Australia on October 23-26

This could be a coincidence, but I aways liked coincidences: “The Event” 2011 Nikon AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) will take place in Hilton Hotel Adelaide, Australia from October 23rd – 26th, 2011. I am starting to like those dates.

Nikon product presentation in Marrakech on October 24-26, 2011

The rumor is that Nikon will hold a product presentation in Marrakech on October 24-26, 2011. Some major European dealers were invited. October 26th was also the rumored announcement date for the Nikon D800. There will be at least three other products announced with the D800.

Nikon’s official statement on the flooding in Thailand

This is Nikon’s statement on the flooding in Thailand: Nikon (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a consolidated subsidiary of Nikon Corporation in the Rojana Industrial Park in Ayutthaya Province located in Central Thailand, is submerged by the flood caused by torrential rainfall since last July.

B&H discounted some grey market Nikon lenses

Today B&H discounted several grey market Nikon lenses, probably as a result of the new Nikon price policy that will take effect on October 16th. Nikon SB-900 speedlight listed as “deleted” at BestBuy

More on the Nikon SB-900 speedlight being discontinued story: in BestBuy’s internal inventory system the Nikon SB-900 flash is already listed as “deleted” which usually means this product will no longer be available for sale: The Nikon SB-900 is still available for sale on BestBuy website.
