Nikon announced new Coolpix cameras (see pre-order options):
Press releases and promo videos:
The Nikon D7200 and Nikon 1 J5 cameras are coming for sure and most likely will be announced few weeks after the CP+ show. I am not sure why Nikon decided to announce a major product (D7200) shorty after one of the most popular photography shows in the world.
I want to remind you that both the J5 and D7200 models were already registered with a Russian government agency together with several other Coolpix cameras that will be announced this week:
Few more cached pictures of the upcoming Nikon D810a (see specifications) – the new camera designed for astrophotography appears to be identical to the current D810 with the exception of the letter “A” after the model name. The official announcement could be as early as tonight.
More D810a images:
I found a text only cached version of the Nikon D810a article I reported earlier today:
Still missing the full resolution pictures.
Translation: For the first time since they’ve converted to digital photography, Nikon will offer a camera optimized for astrophotography.
The French website Les Numeriques briefly published their Nikon D810a post online and then quickly removed. Unfortunately I missed it by few minutes. As you can see from the screenshot above, Google already captured the original D810a link, the cached version is still not available is available here. Here is the original link which now redirects to the D810 announcement:
Here are the Nikon D810a specifications:
Here is very small cached picture of the D810a:

There is still no D7200 info and that worries me. I hate to retract that rumor at the last moment, but the D7200 may not get announced this week.
At some point the D7200 was mentioned on Nikon USA website. Usually searching for a non-existent camera on nikon.com will return no matches, but that’s not the case with the D7200 – of course this could also be a typo or a mistake. In the past similar leaks on nikon.com happened with the SB-500 flash and Nikon 1 AW1 camera and both products were later announced.
Like I already said – the lack of any serious Nikon D7200 leaks concerns me, so hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
Update: the reason that D5500 page is showing in the a D7200 search is because on the “Product Forum” tab on that page someone asked “When will the D7200 be released?”
Nikon will have a new products announcement in the next 2-3 days. I am not sure about the exact date, but it will be before the start of the CP+ show in Japan (February 12-15, 2015). Here is another recap on what to expect:
I have not heard any rumors lately about those products, but there is still a chance that we may see some of them announced this week:
