Nikon moves production of upcoming Nikon N1622 camera from China to Thailand

A new Nikon N1622 camera with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth was registered with the Indonesian Communications Agency POSTEL back in April last year. The camera was supposed to be produced in China, but a few months later Nikon closed their camera plant in China. The Nikon N1622 camera was never officially announced. Nokishita now reports that the N1622 certification was recently renewed and the camera will be produced in Thailand.

My guess is that the N1622 camera is either the Nikon P900 replacement or the new Nikon mirrorless camera.

An Arctic beauty – Lofoten with the Nikon D750

An Arctic Beauty – Lofoten with the Nikon D750 by Adrian Ranfft (websiteinstagram):

Probably, a lot of you already know Lofoten Islands. It is one of THE most famous spots for landscape photographers; many are dreaming of a vacation there. Lofoten Islands are located in North Norway within the arctic circle. Due to the golf stream the climate is quite mild, thus the average temperature even in winter is at 0° to 5° C and in summer it is often more than 20° C. This makes it a very popular place for landscape photography as you do not need special clothes – especially when you live in temperate climate zones – but you can benefit from very great landscapes, changing weather, and superb light conditions.

Dpreview published a sponsored post about Nikon Professional Services at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics:

At the PyeongChang Olympics, there will be 60 NPS staff members from 13 countries on hand, offering support in around 10 languages. Planning for the event started two years ago, and as well as D5 and D850 bodies the NPS inventory will include a range of specialized prime and zoom lenses.
