NiSi is expected to announce a new fast (f/2.x) wide-angle ASPH lens for Nikon Z-mount at the end of September (you can subscribe for email notifications on their website). This will be the second NiSi lens for Nikon Z-mount – a few months ago they announced a 15mm f/4 ASPH lens (currently in stock). Here are the first leaked pictures of the new lens:
You have probably already noticed all the latest teasers, leaks, and rumors over at PhotoRrumors. Many photo companies will announce new products in the next few days (see this incomplete list) in preparation for the holiday shopping season. I have not received any reliable information about Nikon making any new product announcements in the next few days. This could mean only two things:
Development announcements are very hard to “predict” becuase they are not linked to a real product – this is one of the reasons why Nikon increased them in the last few years.
So stay tuned and hope that I am wrong 🙂
