Another Z 85/1.2 S warranty card shipped to a customer

Another reader received a warranty card marked Z 85/1.2 S with the purchase of a Z 35/1.8 S lens. The purchase was made on November 28 from a Nikon Authorized retailer in Ohio. The warranty card serial number matched the engraved number on the 35/1.8 lens:

The first Nikon Z9 camera recall? (lens release button failure)


In the past few years companies (not only Nikon) have been avoiding the word “recall” and have been using words like “service advisory“, “service notice“, etc to describe issues that need to be addressed. Maybe I do not understand the difference and will continue to call this a recall – feel free to correct me in the comments section.
