Weekly Nikon news flash #723

→ A rare Nikon NIKKOR 13mm f/5.6 AI-S lens is up for auction at the 42 Leitz Photographica Auction and is expected to sell for an estimated €60,000 – €70,000 (starting price: €30,000). Check out also the rare Leica cameras. Here is the 13mm f/5.6 lens description:

“AI-S version, in near-mint condition, with perfect optics, with caps, case, with matching caps, L1Bc filter. The Nikon 13mm is the world’s widest non-distorting professional SLR lens ever made, by anyone, in any format. It allows to get closer to any subject, stretches distances and creates images from perspectives otherwise unimaginable. Only about 350 were made in 22 years (1976-1998), and only to special order. The lens is rarely appearing on the market.”

→ After suspending orders a while back, the Nikon SB-5000 flash is back in stock. The Nikon WR-R11a/b and WR-T10 remote controller sets are also back in stock.

AlexOnRAW released new remastered film styles for Capture One. Until April 15th, you can a 40% discount and an additional 10% off with code RUMORS. You can also download 20 sample styles free of charge.

→ The €100 savings on Nikon APS-C cameras in Germany (Sofort Rabatt Aktion) is ending on April 11th. See the details at Foto Koch, Foto Erhardt, WEX, and all the Amazons (UK, DE, FR, IT, ES).

Another curiosity: Nikon Germany lists ten mirrorless cameras on their website, but there are currently only nine Z models

If you go to Nikon USA website, you will see a total of 9 mirrorless Z cameras:

Nikon.com also shows 9 Z cameras:

Nikon Germany also displays 9 mirrorless cameras, but their counter tells us that they have a total of 10 cameras on display – it seems that the 10th camera (Nikon Z8?) is still hidden:

Just like the NIKKOR Z DX 12-28mm f/3.5-5.6 PZ VR lens, there are some weird things going on at the European Nikon websites. I will keep looking for clues – please do the same and share your findings in the comment section or contact me. Thanks!
