From Nikkei Asia – “Nikon, Sony and Canon fight AI fakes with new camera tech:

“TOKYO — Nikon, Sony Group and Canon are developing camera technology that embeds digital signatures in images so that they can be distinguished from increasingly sophisticated fakes.

Nikon will offer mirrorless cameras with authentication technology for photojournalists and other professionals. The tamper-resistant digital signatures will include such information as date, time, location and photographer.”

Nikon event for influencers in Lanzarote at the end of January (Nikon Z6III?)

A quick update on my previous post about an upcoming Nikon event for photographers/influencers/YouTubers – it will take place at the end of January 2024 on the island of Lanzarote. This is very plausible becuase the Nikon Z8 trip for influencers was in Madeira – an island located just north of Lanzarote (see this video and many others). At this event, Nikon will most likely reveal the rumored Z6III camera to a select group of people – so expect some leaks, spy shots, etc. If you happen to be in Lanzarote at the end of January, be on the lookout for a large group of people with cameras 🙂
