Sony is rumored to acquire Tamron. The report comes from a reliable source (paywalled) in Japan – see the recap over at PhotoRumors:

Sony to acquire Tamron?

Tamron currently has a dozen lenses for Nikon Z-mount. The sad fact is that this year Tamron has announced more lenses for Nikon Z-mount than Nikon itself (70-200mm, 24-105mm, and a development announcement):
