Not a typo: Apple removed the Nikon Z70 listing from the authorized ProRes products

A quick update on the Nikon Z70 camera: a few hours after my post yesterday, Apple completely removed the Nikon Z70 entry from the authorized ProRes products list. Here are the before and after screenshots:

I think it is safe to conclude that this was not a typo. A new high-end Nikon Z APS-C camera has been rumored for a whilehere is what we know so far:

  • 45MP stacked sensor
  • Very fast camera (mini-Z9/mini-ZR), similar to the D500 DSLR
  • Expected announcement/release in the fall (we may get teasers or a development first)

Coming soon: new fast, top-of-the-line, high-end, professional Nikon APS-C (DX) camera

Typo or leak: Nikon Z70 camera added to the Apple ProRes and ProRes RAW authorized products

What to expect next from Nikon (updated July 2026)
