Nikon Japan temporarily suspends Nikkor Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S lens orders


Nikon Japan has temporarily suspended orders for the Nikkor Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S lens due to an “overwhelming number of pre-orders.” This is strange because the Z 600mm f/6.3 lens was announced back in 2023, and it’s currently in stock at major retailers:

We have received an overwhelming number of pre-orders for the NIKKOR Z lens “NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S,” which far exceeds our expectations. As a result, there will be a delay in delivery. Consequently, we have decided to temporarily suspend order acceptance from August 8th, 2026 (Saturday) onwards.
