Strange: Nikon to introduce a new HB-103 lens hood in Japan

The official Nikon Japan online store (Nikon Direct) is listing a new HB-103 lens hood to be released on January 30th:


The Nikon HB-103 lens hood is designed for the Nikkor Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S lens. The Nikon Japan store clearly states that the product is an older model and that a new one is available. In the US, the Nikon HB-103 lens hood is also listed as discontinued:


What is wrong with the old HB-103 lens hood? We want to know! For a second, I thought about the latest rumors for a new Nikkor Z 120-300mm f/2.8 TC lens – could it be that this new lens hood is designed for the rumored 120-300mm lens?
