Nikon Z5II camera hands-on at Nikon Plaza in Tokyo

MJ sent me his Nikon Z5II camera hands-on report at Nikon Plaza in Tokyo:

I managed to go down to the showroom earlier today and try out the Z5II demo sets.

Here are some interesting points:

  1. The Nikon Z-GR1 is a perfect fit, since the bottom of the base is the same length as that of the older EXPEED6 bodies. The vertical extension Z-VP1, while it fits, does interfere with the vari-angle screen’s movement.
  2. Regarding the Nikon MB-N10, it fits (at least on paper) physically, but since it was not officially supported, I was not allowed to attach the MB-N10 to the demo sets in case something goes wrong electronically. I am hoping when the demo sets hit the camera retailers some of them might be a bit more adventurous to let me try that out lol.
  3. The EVF is actually really bright, and is as customizable as that of the Z6III (-5 to +8, with Hi1 and Hi2).
