Nikkei: Nikon removes pay cap for top hires in scramble for talent

From Nikkei Asia – “Nikon removes pay cap for top hires in scramble for talent“:

“Nikon will expand hiring for jobs with no upper limit on pay in a bid to attract engineers and other highly skilled professionals from outside the company, Nikkei has learned. The new employment program, which is separate from Nikon’s regular hiring and compensation, is designed to attract talent that cannot easily be fostered within the company. The move comes as Japanese companies face tough global competition for professionals able to drive innovation and expansion into new markets.” (source: Nikkei)
