Nikon Z30 to be announced on June 29

The rumored Nikon Z APS-C  mirrorless camera (rumored to be called Z30) is rumored to be announced on June 29 (±1 day – as previously reported). Even though I do emphasize the word “rumored”, I am pretty confident in this information. We should also get the official announcement of the Nikkor Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S lens and maybe even the rumored Nikon Z9 firmware update version 2.1. I have noticed that lately Nikon likes to make several announcements in one day instead of spreading the announcements over several weeks. Here is a quick recap on the Z30 and stay tuned for more details and leaks:

  • The new DX mirrorless camera will have many of the same components used in the current Nikon Z50 and Nikon Zfc cameras – this includes the same 20.9MP DX-format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 6 image processor (no new sensor for this model).
  • The price is expected to be under €1,000/$1,000.
  • The product number could be N2014

What to expect next from Nikon (updated)

A smaller and cheaper entry-level Nikon Z30 mirrorless camera is still expected
