New DxO Nik Collection 5 released

DxO announced the all-new Nik Collection 5 (the suite consists of eight different plug-ins). The design of the user interface has been rebuilt from scratch and several new features and improvements were introduced. Here are the details:

Fun fact – Nikon was a major investor in the early Nik Software and the original Capture NX was co-developed by Nik Software and Nikon:

Nik Software was, until Google’s acquisition, a privately held company owned by investors and Nikon, which in 2010 had a 35% stake. Nikon made its investment in 2005. As of 2010, the company had 120 employees — around 40 of whom were located in San Diego where the company was headquartered while the remaining staff (primarily engineering) were based in Germany.
