A few new BCNRanking digital camera stats

BCNRanking released their digital camera awards for last year – keep in mind that BCN Ranking is a POS database that collects daily data from approximately 40% of the Japanese electronics retailers and online stores (click for larger view):

BCNRanking published also this market share graph based on data from the end of 2019 (December):

  1. Canon: 33.6%
  2. Nikon: 19.2%
  3. Sony: 17.5%
  4. Olympus: 16.1%
  5.  Fuji: 6.9%
  6. Panasonic: 5.9%

Anotber ranking – the top 10 best selling cameras of the past decade (January 2010 to November 2019) – the Sony α6000 is the only mirrorless camera in the listing at the #6 spot, the rest are 5 Canon DSLR and 4 Nikon DSLR cameras:

  1. Canon EOS Kiss X7
  2. Canon EOS Kiss X5
  3. Canon EOS Kiss X7i
  4. Nikon D5300
  5. Canon EOS Kiss X4
  6. Sony α6000
  7. Nikon D3100
  8. Canon EOS 60D
  9. Nikon D3200

Also: the Nikon Z50 was again the best selling camera at Yodobashi Camera in Japan. That’s all the stats I have for today.
