DIY Nikon 1 hot shoe adapter

The Nikon D810a camera for astrophotography will start shipping on May 28th

Nikon Japan announced the shipping date for the D810a DSLR designed for astrophotography: May 28th,2015. The camera was announced on February 6th and is currently available for pre-order at Amazon, B&H, Adorama, Jessops and WEX. Additional information on the D810a can be found here. Nikon’s 2015 financial results are out: sales down 15%, income down 12%

Nikon Coolpix A camera is now officially listed as discontinued

The Nikon Coolpix A camera is now listed as discontinued on the official Nikon Japan website (it was already removed from their online store few weeks ago). It seems that all the good deals are also gone: B&H still has few at $449, eBay prices start at $399.
