I want this Nikkor lens clock with Nikon D4 shutter alarm!

A well deserved break from the Df coverage: Nikon Japan will be giving away a limited number of this pretty cool Nikkor alarm clock designed after the 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. The best part? The alarm is the sound of the D4 shutter (listen here). Unfortunately it seems that this offer will be available only in Japan.

More Df coverage coming tomorrow.

Are they just using up an overstock of empty 24-70mm 2.8 barrels ‘cos the update with VR is on the way….?

    • ereshoping

This hasn’t got VR ?? deal breaker!

      • Cool Vibrations

With all that vibration when the alarm goes on it definitely needs VR! Maybe a 10 version will follow soon?

  • preston

They already have the morning covered with lens mugs! They’d be better served with a night product – I’d go for a 24mm f/3.5 pc-e tv remote in a heartbeat 😉

    • ereshoping

Put bedtime cocoa in lens mug – sorted!

  • Dweeb

    I’d rather have a modern 16mm or 300 f4 stabilized than more Jap-junk nonsense.

  • istreetshooter

The fact that they are not selling this at nikonusa.com shows why they are frustrating customers. A clock is something I can afford, not a Df!

  • Last Mohican

It’s not for sale, it’s a sweepstakes. They will give this to 1000 people; eligibility is explained in an earlier post on this thread.

  • Zoron

    I can afford Nikon24-70mm f2.8…..alarm clock

  • broxibear

Why would you want this when you could get a “retro” one to match your new/old Nikon DF ?…

  • Louis PhaNikon

download the file and put in to my iphone.

  • Morris

    i don’t!

  • Francis Abuyuan

    i want one!

  • Moses Israel

M16 or an LMG. MAG. No not for me.

  • Dweeb

Does it make grinding sounds when you zoom in and out?

  • photoroto

I have solid information that the production version will include Wi-Fi. You can instantly share your wake-up experience with your friends.

  • FullCircle_360

And here I was expecting the alarm to say “did someone blink?”
