B&H has better lens combos than adorama but nothing in stock right now at B&H

  • FunPhoto

Same here, I did find more rebate options online early this morning, not sure where, will check my bookmarks tonight and comment unless some offers where withdrawn since then.
Aren’t these manufacturer rebates supposed to be uniform regardless of the merchant?
Or some of the “big ones” get better deals?

  • stiwrx

nice way to clear out inventory of 85mm Micro lenses ๐Ÿ˜€

    • The 85mm micro lens is useless or/and overpriced?

I think they better would made an 85mm f/1.8 DX, even non VR.

Also 135 f/2.8 DX or longer and relatively fast DX tele primes would be highly appreciated by the DX crowd.

      • Global

The 85 micro VR is a BARGAIN and a great lens for any DX user. You guys are crazy. Although a longer lens would have been to push for a 200/4 type lens, the DX crowd does deserve a good micro of 105/VR caliber. The 85VR does that quite well.

    • That’s what I’m hoping! Bring on the AF-S 85mm f/1.8!

      • WoutK89

Tele primes and ultra wide primes are a must for the DX lens line up, those are the lenses that draw the DX crowd. Ultra-wide is why people switch to FX, maybe that’s why they will not release a prime lens like that soon.

        • PHB

DX does not offer much of a cost saving on standard telephoto lenses. It does offer an an advantage on a micro lens. For obvious reasons, a 1:1 lens on a 12MP DX camera is rather more useful than a 1:1 lens on a 12MP FX camera.

Some DX wide primes would be nice.

  • D7000 + lots of lenses, 1100 rebate :O
why wont they do that with the D3s, makes canon people maybe more eager to switch if they’re thinking about that allready

    Nikon 14-24mm + box + manual : $500 intant rebate
    Sound good ?

  • AL

    Can somebody help me please?!

I do not understand why in US you can’t find a kit of D7000 with 18-200 VRII, but it is for sale in UK and Canada (will be available at London Drugs, I think)?

    • The invisible man

      I can help you !

      Buy the D7000 + 14-24mm f/2.8 kit, and I will echange the 14-24mm for a 18-200 VRII !

      I know, I’m a nice guy.

  • so… what about other combo options with the D7000? nothing on the semi-pro pro lens range or wide angle zooms???
Admin, do you see any additions being made in the future?

here’s instant rebate updates for BH PHOTOVIDEO:

    D7000 18-105 kit + 70-300 ($200 instant rebate)
    D7000 18-105 kit + 10-24 ($200 instant rebate)

    • I saw those – the only problem is that B&H is currently not taking pre-orders for the D7000, so you cannot buy those combos.

      • Sal

Adorama doesn’t have any D7000 in stock and they don’t charge your credit card before the order ships so probably nobody will get those combo rebates!
However this blog lists their offers but not those of others?
Are we clicking for business here or is this strictly for the joy of Nikon photography and related gear?
Admin: please no direct messages to my email address, thanks!

  • oops sorry (for the repetitive post) i guess the 1st person posted up a link to all the possible options out there.
you can delete my posts above Admin.

  • Nicky

I didn’t realize they had the D90 and 85mm lens kitted together on B&H, and I ordered those 2 yesterday and put them in the cart separately and ended up paying $100 more. But contacted B&H and they are refunding me the $100. B&H is awesome!

  • Rocking Kenwell

How long before someone posts about the prices without adding all the items to the cart? ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • EAJ

      4 hours and 56 minutes

      • Rocking Kenwell

It never ever fails to amaze (and amuse) me! ๐Ÿ™‚

        • Thanks for throwing me under the bus.

However, you’re wrong. By using the “view available kits” the prices are shown. Here you will find the $800 discrepancy.

No worries, just don’t be so quick to jump to conclusions.

  • Some incredible rebates.$1100 off a combo!! Hard to find the D3S anywhere.

  • Woody

The UK D300s promo expired yesderday…any news on it’s replacement (or even if there will be one)?

Hoping that if there is, the D7000 plays a part in it!

  • jintonic

Wondering! is the date on the instant rebate a typo?
The latest Nikon instant rebates for November (will expire on November 20th, 2011)

    • yes, it is a typo – supposed to be 2010

  • Ken Elliott

Tried a D7000. Nice camera. But it convinced me to order a second D700 and update my 70-200 to the VR II version. BH rebates, and got an Epson printer for next to nothing after the rebate. Glad I waited!

    • wood

      Same as mine. D7000 & 70-200 VRII including with R1900. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • panfruit

Does Nikon ever offer rebates on lenses, like the awesome ones Tamron has going right now? I have a body. Gimme a rebate or I buy Tamron! — Don’t make me do it!

  • Ray

What good are the rebates if the camera you want is the D3S. I called BH and they told me the 14-24/D3s combo couldn’t be backordered and the rebate would expire Nov.20. Adorama doesn’t even list the rebated D3S. Whats a buyer to do? No one has them in stock, or at least at a reasonable price….hum…bummer

    • Ray, at B&H you can buy the combo now (they will charge your cc) and then they will ship once they get it in stock. I know it is not optimal, but it seems to be the only way you can get those rebates.

  • Wow so many rebates going on. And the D7000 is too quick to get one ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
We don’t get rebates over here ๐Ÿ™

  • Kevin

Heh, trying to get rid of the 85 micro?

  • Did anyone else notice d700 + 14-24 + 24-70 + 70-200 is $800 less than d300s + 14-24 + 24-70 + 70-200? Does this make sense, or is it just me?

    • EAJ

The actual price(s) don’t appear until you put the item(s) in your shopping cart. Because the 24-70mm lens is out of stock, you can’t place the item(s) in your cart to check the actual price(s).

      • Thank you for your confident response… However, you can veiw the package prices by using the “Veiw available kits” button. In the pop-up window, there is an $800 discrepancy.

        • EAJ

WOW – I can only assume you are joking because of your winking AVATAR. Notice my concerned toothy grin.

  • trjwv

Admin, I called B&H and they told me I could not pre-order the D3S/14-24 combo because it wouldn’t let me add to the cart. The pre-order was only for the 24-70 combo and the 70-200 combo. Does this make sense? I could wait, even 2 months but they told me no on this particular kit. Maybe Adorama will show the kits tomorrow…

Admin, please send me link to Adorama rebate page, if any, I am unable to find on their website…thanks

  • Any reason why the D7000 won’t be paired up with a 10-24 or 16-35 to be applied towards a rebate?
is it just not profitable to bundle it like that?

    i see d300s with that setup…

  • RLB

I thought there was going to be a $400 rebate with the D7000 and 70-200 VRII. What happened to this?

  • retox

    B&H will accept phone orders.
    Yesterday I ordered a D7000 ($1200) with the 10-24mm ($800) and an Epson R1900 ($469)
    They charged me $2469 – $200 instant rebate = $2269 and a $450 mail-in rebate = $1819.
After free shipping I paid $600 for the lens and got the printer for $19.

He said probably about 3 weeks or so with no guarantees.

  • Anonymous

This is terrible, basically Nikon has more item out of stock than what’s available. I mean what were they thinking? People will buy the old D3k crap and not the new D7k? And where are the lenses?

  • DT

The rebates are very interesting (sometimes), but it’s been a long time since there was a good rumor regarding any product or announcement coming…. are there any?

    • If there are no rumors, it means that nothing will be released any time soon. I think the next announcement from Nikon will be their EVIL camera (I mentioned that yesterday). We are just a month after Photokina, do not expect miracles ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Rick

Are there any rumors on the D300 replacement being an FX?

  • Moe

Besides all this rebate traffic. Any opinion as to the best way to get a D7000 body before Christmas? Admin please move if not in the correct thread. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • This is lame! How can they offer rebates for a camera that hasn`t even hit the store windows???
I am really pissed off i have the f***ing money in my hand to invest in heavy glass and the D7000 and I cannot buy `cause they cannot have it in stock, B&H, Adorama and several stores i have a message for you: F**k you!!!

  • Chuck

Funny I’d buy but either lens not available or the body is not available or I don’t want one of the two. Its no wonder they got such sweet looking rebates, no one will take them for one reason or another..

Good job Nikon, make it look good but when you bite its a bad taste or no taste.

  • mshi

Hopefully they can offer some rebates on super telephotos.

  • Oldschool

Support your local mom and pop shops. Get out and pound the pavement if your want a D7000. I bought two yesterday, one for me and one for my wife. They had them since last week.

    • I buy my gear from Mexico in BH or Adorama Online… I`d wish i could go there….

  • TdM

UK-wise – I think we are expecting dispatches to start around now… If anyone gets a dispatch or a camera in hand then pipe up – mine is still ‘Not yet dispatched’ at Amazon. Shipping window is today or tomorrow according to their site (although their initial estimate was the end of last month)

NR Admin, do we have to look at this shit that Nikon cannot supply cameras and lenses for the rebates for 2-3 days? Every single time I come here all I find is fu**n rebates and then you go to selec t something decent then it is out of stock.

Can you post something more exciting? Anything related to Pro or FX cameras? I guess we have to wait until sony creates a new sensor because Nikon is impotent. It cannot even make enough of 1 new frickin’ camera the D7000. I am really disappointed with Nikon.

  • retox

Jesus, you people act like the elves at Nikon can just shit 4 million of them out in a week.
Be HAPPY that there is more demand than supply – this is why the value of your used cameras and glass hold up so well. I just sold a camera I used for over a year and got almost ALL of my money back.

  • Sudheer

Adorama now has the Nikon D7000+ Nikon 10-24mm kit on their website.

  • Sam

I assume these rebates are only for our American cousins and do not apply to us Canadians?

  • Full frame only!

When will we hear about the update to the Nikon D700, the Nikon D800? I am more than impatient!! Any person having reliable information, feel free to share them.

  • Anonymous

    Dear NR Admin:

Why most of stores, like Amazon, BestBuy… do not have Nikon rebate?

So far, I have only seen a few stores, like BH, Adorama have Nikon rebates.

Why other stores do not have Nikon rebate?

    • not sure, maybe they don’t have the infrastructure to handle rebates or they just want to pocket the difference instead of giving it to the consumer

      • Anonymous

        Thanks NR admin.

Those Nikon rebates, are either out of stock or I do not want. Useless anyway.

        • You can still make the purchase now and wait until they ship it to you I guess.

  • They could shake me loose on any number of exorbitantly priced lenses with a decent rebate. The last thing I need is another digital body.

  • dxFormat

the P7000 also has an instant rebate or it is a price drop?
