The rumor mill has stopped for the holidays

Yes, I know – slow on rumors and I have nothing to write about. No reason to remind me that. Here is something to entrain you while waiting for the good stuff:

Technically this is a rumor, practically it is humor – Nikkor AF-S 50mm f1.4G VR? This is an old fake and I do not know how it end up on this web site. The price is also ridiculous, but hey – you can save $20!

I am sure you will find this deal hard to resist:

I don’t get it. I don’t see a VR version of the AF-S 50/1.4 mentioned, neither here nor on the source site…

I guess they changed the picture – the screenshot shows what was online before.

I’ve also seen older cameras selling for ridiculous prices on Amazon (through third party sellers) such as this $1800 D70s: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009JPRE6?ie=UTF8&tag=nikorumo-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0009JPRE6

People have missed the FREE cap keeper with the lens – it’s got to be a REALLY unusual cap keeper to make a $99 lens worth $899, but hey, maybe it’s the special one that keeps the slip on cap for the 600 mm f4 close at hand… :-)

Look at sonic cameras reviews on resellers .com, totall ripoffs. Of course you can tell that from their prices.
