Why is 30MB/s “perfect for video”???
The D90 video feature only records at a rate of ~2MB/sec, so this card’s speed offers no advantages for video recording.
What’s the benefit of 30 Mb/s over 20 for the D90? Both for stills and video?
With stills, I’m specifically talking about shooting RAW.
What I am trying to say is that D90 video files are larger and the transfer rate will be higher, not the write speed:
i have old sandisk ultra II 16GB card and works fine on my new d90
about 4 minutes when coping a full card
To me it is not worth it.
The problem is that my D90 can only take 4-6 raw images in continuous shooting mode before the Ultra II card limits the possibility to continue at 4.5 images per second. After the first few images the camera starts to take 1-2 raw images per second while waiting for the SD card to save them.
This faster memory solves this, I hope
…not everybody uses d70/d80/d90 in continuous shooting mode, i hardly touch the CH mode on my d90
This post is worrisome. I ordered this card from an Office Depot affiliate over two weeks ago. It’s just been sitting in my home office waiting for my D90 body only to arrive. If Amazon JUST got these in stock, how late will they be with the D90 body-only orders??
I bought mine from Adorama on Sunday just in time to get my rebate (before they extended it
).
I hope to get it soon. If i can spend 1300 bucks on a camera, i surely can spend 40 bucks on the best memory card out there.
