Nokishita now reports that Nikon will announce the D6 on September 4th (I was expecting it in October). I am pretty sure this will be a development announcement. The camera will be released in late 2019 or early 2020 as I have already reported in the past.

Two months ago I reported that three lines of Nikon DSLRs will not be replaced. Maybe Chirs is referring to that rumor or maybe he has some additional information from some internal Nikon presentations. It is possible that Nikon added two more DSLR lines to the list I reported two months ago. I think it is safe to assume that only high-end DSLRs will survive in the future.
