The new Viltrox AF full-frame lenses for Nikon Z-mount will be officially announced in July


I received some additional information that the six new Viltrox AF full-frame lenses for Nikon Z-mount will be officially announced in July. The Viltrox AF 35mm f/1.8 Z lens could come earlier, but this is still not confirmed.

Nikon new product(s) announcement confirmed for June 2-3


Following up on my previous post, I feel comfortable enough to confirm that Nikon will have a new product(s) announcement next week, on or around June 2-3. I am expecting a new APS-C camera (retro?), and new mirrorless lenses like the Nikkor Z 100-400mm S and Nikkor Z macro. If the APS-C mirrorless becomes a reality, we should get also some new DX mirrorless lenses. Very interesting: the next Nikon mirrorless could be “retro-inspired” and “Df like” camera


I have been reporting for a while that Nikon will announce a new APS-C based mirrorless camera. Back in February I mentioned that the official announcement is expected in the first half of 2021. We also have fresh rumors that Nikon could announce new products in the first week of June. Now the interesting part – the new Nikon APS-C mirrorless camera could be retro inspired:

  • Nikon Df-inspired mirrorless camera with mechanical dials and articulating screen.
