Nikon officially announced the previously rumored Nikkor Z 17-28mm f/2.8 lens:
Here is the updated Nikon Z lens roadmap as of September 20th (click for a larger view) – it seems that we have new lenses:
Here is the list of expected lenses from the July version of the Nikon Z roadmap:

When I posted the above Nikon “roadmap” online a week ago, I made it very clear that the roadmap is coming from China and I cannot vet or confirm its authenticity. Today we still have websites racing to be the first to report the “leaked Nikon Z roadmap“.
The person who originally created the “roadmap” just contacted me to clarify that he kept that document going for years as a summary of all Nikon cameras (obviously I did not know that when I initially posted the screenshot a week ago):

→ The Nikon 100th anniversary pin collection is still in stock.

→ DxO has announced that their products PhotoLab, PureRAW, ViewPoint, FilmPack, and Nik Collection now have access to the world’s most comprehensive set of camera and lens calibrations (over 75,000 camera and lens combinations). Additional information is available here.

→ The new NiSi fast wide-angle ASPH lens for Nikon Z-mount will be announced next week (September 21).

→ Profoto released firmware updates for several of their Nikon products (Profoto Connect Pro version A4 and Profoto Connect version C2) with improved TTL performance and a fix for the “Lost energy settings” bug for Nikon cameras.

I can now confirm that Nikon will indeed announce a new lens next week that will not be from the existing Nikon Z roadmap.
From the list of Tamron mirrorless lenses that could potentially be announced for Nikon Z-mount, I think the most likely scenario is one of the following lenses:
Since Nikon already has the Nikkor Z 28-75mm f/2.8 lens (the first rebadged Tamron lens for Nikon Z-mount), maybe next week we will see a new Nikkor Z 17-28mm f/2.8, but this range is too close to the existing 14-24mm Z lens. The best option is probably a new Nikkor Z 20-40mm f/2.8. What do you think?
The official announcement is expected on Monday or Tuesday night. Stay tuned for more details. Of course, all these are just rumors collected from multiple sources and some information could be wrong.
Please note that I expect a new Nikon Z rebadged Tamron lens and not a new Tamron lens for Nikon Z-mount. A few weeks ago Tamron announced their first lens for Nikon Z-mount – the Tamron 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD and I am sure there will be more to come in the future:

We are getting closer to a new Nikon lens (or lenses) announcement that can happen as early as next week (I do not have the exact date yet). Here is the list of expected lenses based on the latest Nikon Z roadmap:
Update – Nikon will announce another rebadged Tamron wide-angle zoom lens next week:
I expect one or more of the following three lenses to be announced first (or before the rest):
