Nikon trademarked a new logo – what do you think it is for?

Nikon trademarked a new logo in Japan:

Some of the linked classification documents (16.3.1) are labeled as “Photographic or cinematographic apparatus, projection apparatus and lanterns including video cameras and photographic lenses“.

The detailed description is very broad:

Another batch of the Nikon Nikkor Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S lens is now shipping

I received a tip from a reader that B&H Photo is currently shipping the Nikon Nikkor Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S lens to regular (non-NPS) pre-orders (the order was placed on April 6th, 7 minutes after the official announcement):

I received similar information for pre-orders in Europe: a non-NPS reader just received his lens in the Netherlands. His order was placed on April 7th.

The latest Nikon interviews – nothing interesting to report (Nikon is expected to sell more than 300,000 Z9 cameras)

The latest Nikon interviews:

Phototrend published their CP+ interview with Nikon – plain vanilla answers, nothing interesting to report. And no, Nikon did not say that they will produce a full-frame version of the Zf camera (Df successor) as some websites reported. Nikon’s standard answer for years has been “we cannot comment on future products, we are evaluating the market situation” which doesn’t mean anything.
Interview with Toshikazu Umatate, President of Nikon at Yahoo Japan: the Nikon Z9 is doing very well and is expected to reach 230 billion yen in sales or approx. $1.7 billion, divided by $5,500 – that means Nikon sold/is expected to sell more than 300,000 Z9 units – is my math correct?
