Nikon filed two more patents (2013-019992, 2013-011831) in Japan for a new full frame 58mm f/1.2 lens. In the past there have been similar patents for a 50mm f/1.2, 58mm f/1.4 and 58mm f/1.2 lenses. Here are the technical details:

Today DxO Mark published their test results for the Nikkor 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR lens ($596.95) which was also on the list of recommended lenses for the D800E camera. When the D800/E cameras were announced last year, Nikon released a technical guide which contained a list of recommended lenses for the D800E model (page 16). Several new lenses were announced since and recently Nikon published an updated new list of “lenses that offer excellent resolution” for the D800E:
