Nikon is rumored to announce a new Nikkor Z 120-300mm f/2.8 TC lens by the end of the year

I have been reporting for a while about a new Nikkor Z 100-300mm or 120-300mm f/2.8 lens. I have now received some new information on that rumor: the new lens will be Nikkor Z 120-300mm f/2.8 TC and is expected to be announced by the end of 2026. Keep in mind that the release timeframe has not been finalized, and there may be delays.

FYI – Nikon already has an AF-S 120-300mm f/2.8E FL ED SR VR lens for F-mount (see previous coverage here).

What to expect from Nikon in 2026
