→ Interview with the Nikon Z5II engineers:

Q: The Z5II is the successor to the full-size “entry-level” camera “Z5,” but even for me, who uses high-end cameras like the “Z8,” I felt that it was a high-level camera that set a new standard. What was the concept behind the plan?

A: The first thing is customer feedback. We especially prioritized and reflected the feedback we received from Z5 users. The Z5 was well-received for its compact size and its ability to take full-size photos, but we received requests for improvements on issues such as AF tracking of moving subjects and noise in night scenes. So, while keeping in mind the compact size of the Z5, we wanted to improve its low-light performance and AF performance.
