All we got from Nikon for the 2026 NAB show was a teaser


Shortly after the release of the Nikkor Z Cinema video teaser on Sunday, I updated my post (in case some of you have missed it):

So far, nobody seems to know what the new Nikkor Z Cinema lens will be. That could mean that we will not get an official announcement, which also explains the lack of prior rumors. This could just be another reiteration of the previous teaser for Nikkor Z Cinema lenses.

We basically got another video teaser, 7 months after the initial image teaser from September last year. Nikon did not display anyhting new at the 2026 NAB show, no prototypes, no development announcement. All this indicates to me that the new Nikkor Z Cinema lenses will not be announced anytime soon.

How long can Nikon post teasers about future products? We will find out.
