Nikon released their financial results for the year ended March 2024:
- With regard to market and customer trends during the fiscal year ended March 31, 2024, in the Imaging Products Business,
both unit sales and sales amount remained solid in the digital camera market as a whole, backed by strong sales of mid- to
high-end products. - In the Imaging Products Business, the Group focused on expanding sales of mid- to high-end products and interchangeable
lenses targeted at professionals and hobbyists, especially Z 8, Z f and other Z series full-frame mirrorless cameras. As a
result, this business segment recorded revenue of 279,737 million yen (up 23.2% year on year) and operating profit of
46,542 million yen (up 10.3% year on year) due mainly to higher average unit selling prices and the positive effects of the
yen depreciation. - Regarding the business environment for the full fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, in the Imaging Products Business, the
digital camera market, especially for mid-to high-end products, is expected to remain solid.
