The latest Nikon patents (100mm f/2.5 medium format lens, RGBW AE array)

The first patent application is rather unusual – it describes a Nikon 100mm f/2.5 medium format lens. As far as I can remember, this is the first medium format lens patent from Nikon.

Nikon filed a patent in Japan (2013-156379) for electrically turning ON or OFF the optical low-pass (OLPF) a.k.a. anti-aliasing (AA) filter. Currently the Nikon D800E and D7100 do not have AA filters on their sensors. Nikon patents removable heat storage for cameras
