Nikon released firmware update version 1.11 for the Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.8 S lens

Nikon released a new firmware update version 1.11 for the Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.8 S lens with a single fix:

  • Fixed an issue where, in rare circumstances, the camera’s viewfinder would go blank after repeatedly shooting photos when this lens was attached.

The new firmware can be downloaded here.

The Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.8 S lens is now priced at $667; it was initially announced at $597 (thanks to Trump’s tariffs).

Previous coverage of the Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.8 S lens can be found here.
