→ Nikon India: India’s digital camera market is too small for local manufacturing. Nikon India aims for 10% growth in FY25.

“In FY24, Nikon India sold an estimated 250,000 digital cameras, with expectations to reach 265,000 units in FY25. This growth contrasts sharply with the massive smartphone market, where approximately 150 million units are forecasted for FY25. Despite lower volume, the digital camera market’s revenue performance is notable, generating around $375 million in FY24, approximately 1 percent of the smartphone market’s revenue. (source)”
