Samyang is waiting on licensing from Nikon to start making Z-mount lenses

Phototrend published their report on Samyang from the 2026 CP+ show, where the South Korean lens manufacturer confirmed that they are waiting on licensing from Nikon to start making Z-mount lenses:

“As for a potential move to Canon RF and Nikon Z mounts, the lens maker is still waiting for official licenses from the Japanese manufacturers.”

Samyang used to release F-mount lenses back in 2020, and they even have two manual focus Z-mount lenses, and you can still buy them today:

In the US, some LK Samyang lenses are also sold under the Rokinon brand. In Europe, Smyang lenses are sold at Foto Erhardt and WEX Photo.
