Nikon and AFP are working on a new robotics project for the Olympics, FIFA World Cup, and other events

Nikon is rumored to be working with AFP (Agence France Presse) on a new robotics project for the Olympics, FIFA World Cup, and other events. I don’t have any other details, and I am not sure if this project will be launched for the upcoming Olympic Winter Games.

Nikon has a long history of working with AFP in the past:

Nikon announced a partnership with Agence France Press for a new digital watermark image provenance function for authentication purposes

Photographers used MRMC robotic camera system with a Nikon Z9 and Nikkor Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S lens to shoot the 2022 World Cup

AFP validates a certification test of its photos via the C2PA standard using a prototype Nikon camera
