Nikon NX Tether version 2.4.0 released


In addition to the new updates of NX Studio and Wireless Transmitter Utility, Nikon also released a new version of NX Tether:

Nikon NX Tether Version 2.4.0:

  • Added support for the ZR.
    • Added U4 shooting mode.
    • Added an “R3D NE 12-bit (R3D)” video file type in picture settings.
  • Sign-in with Nikon ID is now required. You need to sign up for your Nikon ID if you do not have one.
  • From this version onward, Nikon Message Center 2 is no longer installed with NX Tether. If you have already installed it, you can separately download the updates from the Download Center.
  • [Pixel shift shooting] is now available when the self-timer is selected.*1
  • Direct measurement of white balance is now also available in photo mode.*1
  • More cameras now support the “Bird” detection feature.*2
  • More cameras now support saving and loading the power zoom position.*2
  • More cameras now support the power zoom.*3
