The German brand Rollei announced a new 85mm f/1.8 autofocus full-frame lens for Nikon Z-mount.
For now, the new lens is only available for pre-order in Germany (at Foto Erhardt). In the US, Rollei products are sold at B&H Photo.
Additional information can be found here – the lens seems to be a rebadged 7artisans 85mm f/1.8 lens made by DJ Optical:
Rollei 85mm f/1.8 AF full-frame autofocus lens for Nikon Z and Sony E cameras
FYI: almost all Chinese lenses are designed and produced by DJ Optical, as I have mentioned several times in the past. The different Chinese brands exist mainly for marketing and distribution purposes. DJ Optical is a huge state-owned enterprise in China with a very strong optical technology design department and appropriate production facilities. I believe that DJ Optical also does significant work for the Chinese military. I will not be surprised if in 10 years, DJ Optical becomes the lens designer/manufacturer for all/many Japanese brands.
The Rollei brand, on the other hand, has been bought and sold multiple times over the years – see the details on Wikipedia.
