Nikon will no longer provide a roadmap for the development of future lenses

Mark Cruz, a Senior Marketing Manager at Nikon USA, made an interesting statement about the Nikon Z mirrorless lens roadmap, on a recent Adorama Live Q&A live stream, that many seem to have missed, myself included (thank you Broxibear!)

Mark Cruz said that after the Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.2 S release, there will be no more Nikon roadmap for future lenses:

Pentax did the same thing n August this year– they eliminated their roadmaps and announced that they will no longer provide information on future lens development.
