CIPA (Camera & Imaging Products Association in Japan) published their camera production data for June, 2020 (orange: 2020, black: 2019, blue: 2018, click for larger view):
June 2020 CIPA numbers:
- Big increases over May shipment levels (326K ILC units vs. 215K), but almost no improvement in %’s vs. 2019
- Mirrorless bodies now account for 50% of units and 63% of value (of Mirrorless + DSLR).
- At current pace, total ILC bodies in 2020 will be between 4.03 and 4.33 million units. It was 8.46 million in 2019, 10.76 million in 2018 and 11.68 million in 2017.
