Here are some samples from the Nikon V1 + FT-1 adapter + TC 2.0x + Nikkor 400mm f/2.8 lens. The focal length calculation should be: 400 x 2 x 2.7 = 2160mm:

Interesting but hardly enough for a lot of us to buy a V1. Nikon has clearly misjudged this part of the market. It will be interesting to see what Canon will do as far as a mirrorless street camera.
It will be interesting to see if Nikon will make a mirrorless street camera too.
Better luck next time, maybe.
People have different expectations from Nikon.
It’s perfect for me to sit between my camera phone and D300S.
Nikon J1 beats sales records of all previous mirrorless models
Interesting enough how many photos come lately from Romania
This one is take from inside one Yello Store (read it Nikon) store in Bucharest… Nice.

Dunno, those close pics look spectacular tome. I’m impressed as hell
I am also impressed, but then again it might be just optics or the way I am led wrong about how to take good photos. These are not good photos in a sense I would put these to my wall, but I really see how a relatively cheap, low spec camera can capture sharp photos with a tripod. Thumbs up here anyway.
This dof at 800mm. does not make sense , please correct me if i’m wrong. The circle of confusion is .011 for this 2.7x crop camera.

I estimate the distance maybe 40 or 50 feet, F-Stop 8.
Try this by entering the circle of confusion manualy.

Forget about V1, I want the shoes!
